  • 27 December 2011 - : little dinosaur

Whew, with the holidays all piled up and a busy December, I didn’t have time to do a blog post, but rest assured, I was up to some fun stuff! My regular work is comprised largely of corporate and architectural photography (blog posts way overdue), but I also worked on a custom collage display for [...]

  • 17 November 2011 - : little viking

I couldn’t think of a better title for this one. This little peanut is Emma. She was born on the first of November, and she was exactly two weeks old when we did these. Yes, she was born with a full head of red hair and beautiful blue eyes! I know, why do them in [...]

  • 05 November 2011 - : owen

Normally I don’t go too far into the background of a photo shoot, but this one warrants a full story. Actually I’ve been thinking that I need to do a lot more in-depth writing, so stay tuned. A couple of weeks ago I saw my friend Cristina Martinez Byvik and her son Owen at Pannikin [...]

I put in my small part, but a lot of other people have [...]

  • 13 August 2010 - : Portait Professional: Cheese for Pictures

Oh, I hate to admit this. I love cheese. It tastes great. It goes good on just about everything (except…ummm…well…ummm..sorry, I just don’t know what it’s not good on). But, alas, for all of it’s goodness, it also disguises the character of the underlying food. That’s the trade-off. So let’s start by calling it what [...]

  • 24 March 2010 - : RAW, Understanding what it is, and why.

I’ve read a great deal of explanation on the internet about RAW files from digital cameras, and I think that almost all descriptions seem to miss that basic layman’s perspective on what it is, and why. I am going to try and put it in terms that one can actually visualize. What it is: 1) [...]
